I have some pics from an event I attended last week. Its a charity event for the community called "Hot August Bites" that is put on by the Junior Club made up of women. The proceeds from this event goes to places such as Ronald McDonald House.

Last week in Nashville Tennessee I represented the State of Idaho at the AGC Safety Conference. Across the country state representative come together to educate and learn the best management practices in safety. I truly enjoy being a successful woman in a male dominated industry and having an impact in safety on a local, state, national and global level. I was proud to represent our state and my title at this national conference.
Here are a few pictures from recent events.... Let me know if you want "just one" of each event, or a couple, or what works best.
Idaho Food Bank - I dropped of a bunch of boxes with the Manager of Development Adrienne Swain Smith. Helping to raise awareness for the need of boxes as well as food -- because they need something in which to deliver the food to the scores of recipients.
Snake River Stampede Parade (7/16/2011) I rode in the parade in a horse drawn covered school bus! Vern Carpenter of Brown Bus Company built it, and Mike Hanley and his horses drove it- and won another Blue Ribbon!
Melba 4th of July Parade - I won a Blue Ribbon! I rode in a fun Roadster owned by Rees Bradshaw, driven by his daughter Charli. I decorated it with Flags and Red & White roses with blue ribbons... and tossed candy to kids.
Thanks a bunch - please let me know if you need further information.
The City of Heyburn hosts a variety of bands to perform at the Riverside Park for the community. This is Jason Lugo & Desert Roan Band which is one of Southern Idaho's Premier Modern Country Rock Bands. They played fantastic music by artists like Keith Urban, Steve Wariner, Ty Herndon, Jason Aldean, Lady Antebellum, Bryan White, and Lee Roy Parnell. I can't wait to hear them when they open for Daryl Worley for the Cassia County Fair.
As one of the perks of being a Girl Scout Leader I get to go camping with some of my favorite people, my Girl Scout troop 836. Camp Alice Pittenger is located on the shores of Payette Lake near McCall, Idaho. At this camp girls sleep in tents or cabins, on cots, eat in the dining hall, use "biffies" and take hot showers in the "sky lighted" shower house. We did arts and crafts where we created popsicle frames, lanyards and tie-dye headbands. Swimming, kayaking, hiking and canoeing are all an integrated part of Camp Alice Pittenger programs.
